Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. try to use the Android Emulator (beta) with a brand new account
2. How does a new member activate the account (or link it to a computer?)

This is challenging; there seems to be no way to do it

You log into to Xamarin Studio from the Welcome page on the upper right, have you logged in to Xamarin Studio prior to running the emulator?
