Description ommymyca-6408 2014-12-07 03:13:49 UTC
The current solution I am working on has 4 configurations and has some preprocessor/compiler directives in place to allow me to build for either Mono or .NET. Currently, when I open the solution in MonoDevelop, I am required to manually switch between active configurations to make the IDE's text editor comment/gray out correctly what I just disabled by manually switching.

In other words, on loading a solution this does not occur, correctly anyhow. Although the build is correct, even when I build immediately after loading the solution, without manually toggling the active configuration. Suggesting the phenomenon is purely cosmetic. And as such not overly important.

Some additional observations -- the phenomenon seems intermittent; almost random at times. However, one thing I can repeat is this -- opening MonoDevelop and then opening my 4-configuration solution does NOT apply the directives properly. I have to then close the solution and open it again (or switch configurations, as stated earlier) for the directives to be applied visually. Although, again, the build is accurate either way.
