Xamarin UITest always clears app data when launching an App via:
var app = ConfigureApp.Android.ApkFile( apk );
(It issues an adb shell pm -s ... clear command to the local emulator)
This is inconsistent with iOS behavior (which never clears App data).
Arguably, both platforms should make available a configuration setting whether cleansing of app data is desired or not. The current behavior creates huge problems for testing things like first time run experiences of an App.
This bug has been open for one month without any response - any expectation for a fix? If Xamarin.UITest were open source I'd submit a PR, but since it's not....
This can be done manually in Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/[My App]/Clear data.https://babasupport.org/routers/zte-router-customer-service/657
[adb shell pm clear my.wonderful.app.package}
