I can set a label's .TextColor property from a non-UI thread without getting "screamed" at.

I'm not sure what your test is trying to prove other than that isn't compilable code?

TextColor takes an NSColor object.

ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem (_ => {
		maxValueLabel.TextColor= NSColor.Blue;

^^ this will at least compile. It will compile just fine, but won't actually set the color because its not on the UI thread.

@Stephen: Sorry for "comment1". Please ignore it.

I have checked this issue and I am unable to reproduce this issue.

Steps I followed:

1. Create and unified Xamarin.Mac application.
2. Add a label to "MainWindow.xib" file
3. Add the following code in "AwakeFromNib" method in "MainWindowController"

ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem (_ => {
        maxValueLabel.TextColor= NSColor.Blue;

When I deploy the attach application I observed that I am getting an exception, i.e.

"AppKit.AppKitThreadAccessException: AppKit Consistency error: you are calling a method that can only be invoked from the UI thread."

However, If I try to set the label text color from UI thread I am not getting any error/exception.

Could you please provide IDE logs, build information and sample application to reproduce this behavior? So that we can reproduce this behavior at our end.

You can get build information from here:

You can get IDE logs form here:

I have enough to work with here.

I believe somebody has already fixed this.

Please let me know if you run into it again.
