I try to build an incomplete project that does not build. I get build errors as expected. I type F4 (as long as I required, which I doubt...) to the first error. Then I find some type or member reference in the source. Then I try to fix by using monodevelop's refactoring operation. But... nothing shows up. While I get those refactoring operations on other tokens, I don't get those at the most needed place :/
1. git clone https://github.com/atsushieno/cadencii.git
2. git checkout 93ab6418c7f47a44fd19b5d9fa1370cd98a7dcaf
3. open Cadencii.sln and hit F5. It fails to build.
4. Type F4 to jump to the build error.
5. It would jump to "FormMain.Designer.cs" line 2182, saying like [*1].
The cursor is supposed to be before "Cursor" (in "this.pictKeyLengthSplitter.Cursor = ...").
6. type context menu key or right click "Cursor".
No refactoring operation shows up.
If you move up ("BorderStyle") and do the same operation, you would see the expected commands.
I think it is because the compiler error "overrides" and suppresses the list of commands. But it shouldn't as it makes refactoring operation support quite useless...
[*1] /home/atsushi/svn/cadencii/src/Cadencii.Application.WindowsForms/ui/main/FormMain.Designer.cs(40,40): Error CS1061: Type `cadencii.UiPictureBox' does not contain a definition for `Cursor' and no extension method `Cursor' of type `cadencii.UiPictureBox' could be found. Are you missing an assembly reference? (CS1061) (Cadencii.Application.WindowsForms)
Works for me - I think it's related to the other issues you see.
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 24069 ***
No, it was not. Even after removing the cause of bug #24069 (that I'm going to log another bug soon), this still reproduces.
On the other hand, bug #24074 is caused by the same reason, which I'm not going to mark as duplicate of #24069 but rather of the new one, as that'd be more consistent.)
should be fixed in master.
no... it still shows nothing.

It turned out that if I have some configuration, settings or dock state like bug #24094, I'm NOT getting this issue. I do get the problem when my configuration is clean.
Is there a crash on the console or logs like in bug 24094 ?
Should be fixed with 6.0 - all that got rewritten
