Trying to uniquely Identify a Mac, it would be great if we could access the IOKit to get access the Mac Address and Serial Number.
IOKit is a giant library that will take a long time to bind. I would not expect us to get around to binding it for a long time (think years).

Yes seems to work for me I will let you know if anything changes. Is it worth putting in Xamarin for everyone eg in the Enviroment Class ?
I agree this is useful, but as a rule we don't extend the .NET BCL if possible. We try to add new platform specific APIs in new namespaces. We'll look at possibly getting a cleaned up version of this into Xamarin.Mac in the future.
