Description Andrew Westacott 2014-10-06 23:31:07 UTC
When using <Grid> in WPF it is optional to specify either RowDefinitions, ColumnDefinitions. This will imply a single row or column definition of "*"

is equivelent to

     <RowDefintition Height="*" />
     <ColumnDefintition Width="*" />

Xamarin.Forms should implement this to match
Comment 1 Andrew Westacott 2014-10-06 23:38:39 UTC
Effectively this:

	public class EmptyGrid : Grid
		public EmptyGrid()
			RowDefinitions = new RowDefinitionCollection();
			RowDefinitions.Add( new RowDefinition{ Height = new GridLength( 1, GridUnitType.Star ) } );

			ColumnDefinitions = new ColumnDefinitionCollection();
			ColumnDefinitions.Add( new ColumnDefinition{ Width = new GridLength( 1, GridUnitType.Star ) } );

This is the case in 1.2.3. I recommend that this issue be closed.
Comment 3 Arpit Jha 2014-12-29 02:40:33 UTC
We have checked this issue and observed that no way exist to set RowDefinitions
Height and ColumnDefinitions Width as shown in screencast :http://www.screencast.com/t/i9JxFpzJxdy
