Description Wally McClure 2014-09-22 15:18:40 UTC
When using the Web Browser provided in Xamarin.Forms, it would be great if there was a way to determine:
1. When the web browser is loaded. There does not appear to be an event that fires when a page has been loaded from within the component.
2. There does not appear to be a way to determine the http status code of a web page request. It would be great to get the code, such as 200, 404, whatever.

With these two features, we would be able to better determine errors that have occurred and provide some type of assistance to the user. This capability is exposed in iOS and Android.

I have checked this issue with the help of bug description and observed that no way exist in web view to check status code.

I also observed that HttpStatusCode is a class under System.Net namespace that returns status code.

Please let me know that are you talking about the same behavior? as shown in screencast : http://www.screencast.com/t/wlDUhzeF7ko

Also It would be great If you provide us build info and environment detail.

For what it's worth, the native iOS webview doesn't offer this functionality either. I was checking to see whether switching from xamarin native to xamarin forms would help me avoid doing the HTTP gruntwork myself, but I guess not.
