1) Create a new C# project.
2) Right click the project and select Add - Add Packages.
3) Add Json.NET
4) Close Xamarin Studio and re-open it.
5) Right click the project and select Add - Add Packages.
6) Add Json.NET again even though it is already added to the project.
7) Right click the Newtonsoft.Json under the Packages in the Solution window and select Remove.
8) Right click the project and select Add - Add Packages.
9) Add Json.NET
Json.NET NuGet package is added to the project.
NuGet package fails to be added. Error in Package Console:
Could not find a part of the path '...\MyProject\packages\Newtonsoft.Json.6.0.5\Newtonsoft.Json.6.0.5.nupkg'.
Workaround is to do a package version search "Newtonsoft.Json version:*" and then the Json.NET NuGet package can be installed.
I have checked this issue and I am able to reproduce this issue.
To reproduce this issue, I have created a console project on XS and follow the same steps mentioned in bug description. I am also getting the same error. i.e.
"Could not find a part of the path..."
Note: After following steps mentioned in bug description, I am not able to add the "Json.Net" package from nuget in other solutions. I try to add same package to newly created solution but not able to add that package. I am getting the same error. However, I am able to add other packages from nuget.
