Description Chris Hardy [MSFT] 2014-09-13 22:27:56 UTC
When running the example Today extension here: https://github.com/xamarin/monotouch-samples/tree/master/ExtensionsDemo
on to a iPhone 5s physical device, I get the following deploy error message:

Please ensure your device is connected...
Connected to: Totoro Phone
Launching /private/var/mobile/Containers/Bundle/Application/9FB2F06F-E0A1-45E9-8CE9-6D72B1CF1CFA/ExtensionsDemo.app -monodevelop-port 10000 -connection-mode usb
Found new TLS offset at 224
Failed to load AOT module 'Xamarin.iOS' while running in aot-only mode: doesn't match assembly.

The app loads up and immediately crashes and the extension, whilst visible, does not do anything. The app seems to work fine running on a first gen iPad Mini.

The "Found new TLS offset at 224" is just a debug message, we'll fix it but it doesn't mean anything is wrong.

Bug #22616 is about deploying in the simulator, so that's not relevant.

These crashes ("Failed to load AOT module ...") are usually caused by cached builds not being handled correctly (which means that a clean rebuild works, but a second build does not).

In any case it's a duplicate of #22933.
