Description cmmouritsen 2011-11-30 18:12:36 UTC
I am trying to set up a fetch request that requires a predicate and am not getting the expected results. Are predicates supported in MonoTouch? I asked on question on stackoverflow here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7759435/is-having-a-nsfetchrequest-with-an-nspredicate-supported-in-monotouch
Comment 1 Sebastien Pouliot 2011-11-30 19:42:28 UTC
There's no reason why they should not be supported but, like we asked on stackoverflow, we will need a self-contained test case showing the issue since this is not a part of iOS we're familiar with.

There was an issue (bug #3995) with (C#) delegates that returned a value (not void). This could have an effect on predicates since it uses one:

public delegate bool NSPredicateEvaluator (NSObject evaluatedObject, NSDictionary bindings);

However it's used only in `FromExpression` and your code snippet (on stackoverflow) does not use it.
