Description rjcollingham 2014-09-08 09:38:42 UTC
Setting MapType to Satellite or Hybrid on Windows phone has no affect. The roadmap is always shown.

        public MapView()
            var map = new Map(
                        new Position(54.767683, -1.571671), Distance.FromMiles(0.05)))
                            IsShowingUser = false,
                            HeightRequest = 100,
                            WidthRequest = 960,
                            VerticalOptions = LayoutOptions.FillAndExpand
            map.MapType = MapType.Hybrid;
            var stack = new StackLayout { Spacing = 0 };
            Content = stack;

I have confirmed this issue.

Just to add, it's the same for Android. Setting Hybrid and Satellite just results in the road map.

Works fine on iOS.

Fixed for next update.
