Description ron.jacobs@newellco.com 2014-09-05 10:43:21 UTC
I have a forms app that references a value converter that is in a separate project file. I am trying to use the value converter in a xaml file. The converter loads and works on Android, but fails and crashes in iOS with the exception "XamlParseException Resource * must be available as a static resource." It fails on both the iPhone Simulator and an actual iPad device. I am using all the latest stable version of Xamarin and I am compiling and running from Visual Studio.

I have attached the solution. The xaml file that causes the issue is "DetailPage.xaml". It crashes at startup in the file "Xamarin.Forms.Xaml.MarkupExpressionParser.LookupNamedResource"

I use the value converter in a very simple Forms app and it runs without any issue. Only this project causes problems.

zipped solution file

I had to strip out much of the .dll files to make the attachment fit, but all of the necessary "extra" dlls can be found in the zip

I have tried to reproduce this issue at my end. But not able to do the same, as I am getting build errors when I try to build the solution file attached in this issue.
