Steps to reproduce:
1. Download the application from "https://github.com/xamarin/monodroid-samples"
2. Launch MonoDevelop.
3. Click on "Start Solution or File" icon.
4. Browse Button application.
5. Click on Open button.
6. Select Debug /release mode from the drop down.
7. Build the application.
8  Run the application.(Select API 14)
9. See the error message appear on the Console.

Actual result:
Fatal error occurred when user RUN there Button application in API 14 on Debug and Release mode.
Refer the attached stack trace.

Expected Result:
Application should run successfully.

This error doesn't entirely make sense:

> E/AndroidRuntime(  457): java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Couldn't load monodroid: findLibrary returned null

All I can think of is that your device has run out of disk space, and libmonodroid.so hasn't been extracted. Reminds me of:


As a check, see if the file /data/data/YOUR_PACKAGE_NAME/lib/libmonodroid.so exists:

> adb shell ls -l /data/data/YOUR_PACKAGE_NAME/lib/libmonodroid.so

That said, I do expect GLCube to blow up on API 14 (it's a known failure); when I run it, I get:

> System.InvalidOperationException: egl.EglMakeCurrent failed: 0x3009

This is also troubling, and we will investigate the egl.EglMakeCurrent() failure.

We RUN this application on Emulator on API 14 in Debug mode and got the same errors.

We RUN GlCube application on API 14 in Emulator on Debug and Release mode and
got the same errors.

Can not reproduce the Fatal Error

I was, however, able to reproduce the error that Jonathan was seeing:

System.InvalidOperationException: egl.EglMakeCurrent failed: 0x3009

Now Button application is working fine on API 10 and 14, however error occurs in run the application on API7. We have already logged a issue "2208" for that.

Bug 2208 - Error appears after setting Target Framework dropdown to Mono for Android 2.1 for the application Buttons.

Hence closing this issue.
