Looks like a runtime packaging bug:

System.DllNotFoundException: /Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/3.8.109/lib/libgtk-quartz-2.0.0.dylib
  at (wrapper managed-to-native) Gtk.Rc:gtk_rc_get_module_dir ()

I'll take a look at this with Alexis today.
Comment 3 Alexis Christoforides 2014-08-27 23:22:02 UTC
Apologies, I forgot to carry a change between bockbuild profiles. This is fixed in xamarin/bockbuild 45863081eb0a5fae305f1afcc5785ca4eb6e5d55.

The old URL now links to a rebuilt package. I don't have access to a Lion machine right now but I've verified that all libraries now have 10.7 as their minimum version (they were 10.8 before, which should be what caused the issue).

I have checked this Issue with mono which is given in Comment#3 Now I am successfully able to launch XamarinStudio.

X.S 5.3 (Build 435) and X.S 5.3 (Build 439)
Mono 3.8.0 ((detached/356dbc5)
GTK+ 2.24.23 (Raleigh theme)
Package version: 308109010

So I am closing this Issue now
