On iOS 7.1 (probably on other version also) Editor.IsEnabled = false does not disable editing. On the WP and droid it works well.
A test page is attached to this report.

Should be working now
Comment 3 victor.chelaru 2015-05-18 19:27:48 UTC
This is still happening on 1.4.1.X and 1.4.2.X, as shown here:

Comment 4 Rogier van der Hee 2015-05-22 07:04:49 UTC
A UITextField has an Enabled property and a UserInteractionEnabled, and AFAIK only setting the latter will disable editing. Perhaps that is not set in the internal renderer?
Comment 5 Seth Rosetter 2015-05-27 16:51:52 UTC
I have confirmed that this will be resolved in 1.4.3 (next release).
Comment 6 victor.chelaru 2015-07-21 18:25:38 UTC
This still reproduced on 1.4.3.X

Thank you for taking the time to submit this report. After reviewing the description of this bug, we no longer believe it affects the current version of Xamarin.Forms. If you are still experiencing the issue after updating your packages, please reopen this report with an attached reproduction.
