I have checked this issue and with the help of screencast, I am able to reproduce this issue.

When I open the exception dialog, I observed that the read only text box on the top of exception dialog doesn't display anything also when I expend the "Inner Exception" option I observed that it show the "Count= 1" but doesn't display the value of inner exception.

Screencast: http://www.screencast.com/t/s3sNxxKvve

Please let me know if I have to check anything else.

I have checked this issue with XS 5.7.2 (build 8) and Master XS 5.8 (build 1033) and still not able to read content in Exception Caught window. When we hover on text line which are not completely visible in Exception Caught window, tooltip appears for a moment and get disappeared and user is not able to read the content.

Screencast: http://screencast.com/t/yrPb96ooYj2P

Expected result:
On hovering text line which are not completely visible in Exception Caught window, tooltip should appear properly so that user can read whole content of that line.

Hence reopening this issue.

That's a separate issue and not related to this bug report (which was about the missing string in the title section).

The disappearing tooltips bug is a gtk bug and not specific to this dialog and afaik, Cody is already looking into that issue.
Comment 5 narayanp 2015-02-27 10:01:35 UTC
As per comment 4, this issue is just related to "missing string in the title section" of Exception Caught window and this issue is now fixed. Please refer the screencast of comment 3.

Hence, I am closing this issue.

To track 'disappearing tooltips' issue I have filled a separate issue: https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=27506
