I created a test project ot easily reproduce the bug. When the Image property of the Button is set, the given text gets truncated all the time. It seems like the button is not resized correctly with the image size (are you guys taking into account the iOS scalefactor here?).
The test page is done in XAML. You can DL the project from Dropbox, here:
I have checked this issue and able to reproduce this. When the Image property of the button is set, I observed that the text of the button gets truncated and when we do not set the Image property of button the text appear properly (without truncated).
I have also observed that when I reduce the text of button and Image property is set I am still getting the same behavior.

This bug has been reported and confirmed over half a year ago. Considering it's affecting a very basic functionality of the iOS buttons, I would expect this issue to get more attention.
Seriously Gents, Please give me an update on this!
Hi Gabor , sorry for the delay, can you update the dropbox link, so we can investigate further?
Here's a new project I did again. Please save it this time :)
What's up with this?
Thank you for taking the time to submit this report. After reviewing the description of this bug, we no longer believe it affects the current version of Xamarin.Forms. If you are still experiencing the issue after updating your packages, please reopen this report with an attached reproduction.
For your convenience, we have created some reproduction best practices viewable here: https://gist.github.com/jassmith/92405c300e54a01dcc6d
