Just to make sure we are on the same page: the "Check automatically" checkbox controls wether XS should periodically check for new updates or not. This is independent from the update downloading process.
For example, if you run the "Check for Updates" command, then XS will check if there is any update, and if there is it will start downloading it. When the download is finished, XS will show the updates window, offering the option to install them. This happens even if you have "Check automatically" disabled. Marek, I feel this is what you are seeing, and that's the expected behavior. Is this the case?
I don't think I ever used "Check for Updates" I don't even know where it's.
I am also not sure I follow this workflow. Does it mean if I clicked Check for Updates once there is no way for me to cancel XS update?
> I don't think I ever used "Check for Updates" I don't even know where it's.
You must have used it, since that's there you can set or reset the "Check automatically" option.

If you run "Check for Updates" once, you'll get the updates once. The updates are not installed automatically. Once downloaded, you have to explicitly click on Install in the dialog that XS will show.
I'm assuming that opened the Check for Updates at least once, and that triggered the download. Feel free to reopen if that's not the case.
