Tested on Samsung Galaxy 2 (Samsung GT-P5110), 10" android device.
When I tilt the divice to switgch between landscape/upright view when having a DisplayAlert on screen the DisplayAlert disappears.

When you are experiencing this, are you able to consistently reproduce this through a sequence steps or is the disappearing alert sporadic?
Comment 2 cloudspined 2014-08-23 02:57:14 UTC
Not sporadic, happens every time
Comment 3 Seth Rosetter 2014-08-25 17:18:10 UTC
I have tried to reproduce this on (Device Samsung Galaxy 2) and have been unable to replicate the behavior. Can you provide more information such as your development environment as well as some code / your project if possible. Also, make sure you are using the latest version of the Xamarin.Forms package.

Thank you for taking the time to submit this report. After reviewing the description of this bug, we no longer believe it affects the current version of Xamarin.Forms. If you are still experiencing the issue after updating your packages, please reopen this report with an attached reproduction.
For your convenience, we have created some reproduction best practices viewable here: https://gist.github.com/jassmith/92405c300e54a01dcc6d
