Description Michel Chowanski 2014-07-18 20:00:33 UTC

I found three issues on windows phone. I have a picker at the second tab of a tabbedpage. If I select a picker value, I will be redirect to the first tab and not to the current (second tab).

Although, SelectedIndexChanged event fired but my picker value will be lost at content page.
And last but not least: The picker don't show the title.

On Android it's working fine. I'll append a easy code example.

Can you provide a repro for this?
Comment 2 Michel Chowanski 2014-07-21 15:03:44 UTC
I have created an extra project for this bug. But it works in the special project. So the issue seems to caused by something else. I will checked it.

Only the title won't show on windows phone now. I use:

<Picker x:Name="Filter" Title="Filter" VerticalOptions="CenterAndExpand" SelectedIndexChanged="OnFilterChanged" />

Are you referring to the rectangle showing the currently selected item or the Title on the pop over control with the picker items? It would be helpful if you posted a screenshot.
Comment 6 Michel Chowanski 2014-08-20 16:12:53 UTC
An example (Screenshot) in the appendix. I only see an empty box - I would expect that there ist the title (like in Android) or the first item.

My Code:
            Dictionary<string, Color> nameToColor = new Dictionary<string, Color>()
                { "Aqua", Color.Aqua }, { "Black", Color.Black },
                { "Blue", Color.Blue }, { "Fuschia", Color.Fuschia },
                { "Gray", Color.Gray }, { "Green", Color.Green },
                { "Lime", Color.Lime }, { "Maroon", Color.Maroon },
                { "Navy", Color.Navy }, { "Olive", Color.Olive },
                { "Purple", Color.Purple }, { "Red", Color.Red },
                { "Silver", Color.Silver }, { "Teal", Color.Teal },
                { "White", Color.White }, { "Yellow", Color.Yellow }

            var Picker = new Picker()
                Title = "Use Filter ..."

            foreach (string colorName in nameToColor.Keys)

Still experiencing the rectangle showing as empty instead of showing the Title property on Forms 1.4.2 so I'm updating the report and attaching a sample project.

=== Actual Results ===
The Picker control box is empty when the app is first launched and no item has been selected.

=== Expected Results ===
The control box should display the Picker’s Title property as the placeholder text to indicate to the user that it can be interacted with.
