The animated version of the search match is displayed in the wrong place, it is too high and to the left of the actual search match.

Looks like a mono 2.10.7 issue - can you verify that on 2.10.6 ?

FWIW, I don't see this with the new GTK or the old GTK, however the popup does appear to be a few pixels off from the text editor text.

I think it was a mono issue- but michael is right with the 'few pixel' thing. However I think this is more a pango rendering effect (putting it +-1 pixel made the animation worse).

But I think I've found a way to fix that.
