I got the same error too. According to this link the issue might be the mono.posix.dll.  


Although, if I try to follow the "fix" there, I end up at a dead end since the paths don't match up.

My Setup:
Windows 7 home premium (64 bit)
MonoDevelop 2.6 beta 3
GTK 2.12.10
The latest Mono for Android
JDK (32bit) 
android installer_r12-windows

This is fixed in Mono for Android addin v2.6.5.3, available from the add-in manager
