I was unable to reproduce this locally on an HTC wildfire v2.3, but this failure was hit consistently on the HTC Wildfire available on test cloud. This was occurring on a release build.

This is not a regression from the current stable XA 4.12.5.

This was reported against monodroid-4.14-series / d37c1629055ff1a3170.

This also manifested with the GLTriangle30 sample on a Nexus 7:
