This happens in iOS designer. When a view controller is a child of navigation controller, an UIImageView within the view of that view controller is not able to get shorter than 88 of height.
If the navigation bar setting of the view controller is set to inferred, which means that bar is presented, the imageview can't get shorter than 88.
If it is set to none, there's no such weird behaviour.
The details are illustrated in the sample code attached.
I have checked this issue and with the help of bug description I am able to reproduce this issue.
Steps to reproduce
1. Open the attached sample on XS.
2. Decrease the height of Imagebar which is on view controller that contain title bar.
3. Unable to decrease the size of Image bar.
4. Change the viewcontroller "Top bar" setting to "None" now we can change the Imageview height.
I observed that I am unable to decrease the height of imageview when view controller's "Top bar" property is not set to none. It's default min size is set to 88 and we are not able to decrease the size of Image view less than 88. If we set "Top bar" property to "None" we are able to decrease the size of Image view.

I have checked this issue and now this issue works fine. I am able to decrease height of imageview less than 88 when view controller "Top bar" property is set to inferred.
Hence closing this issue.
