When trying to run an app on iOS 6.1 simulator, I get this error:

I think I need to compile with a C++ flag, but I can never remember which one. It would be nice if the build script detected these problems.
Try adding --cxx to the additional mtouch arguments (this is probably related to, if not a dup of, bug #14891)
Yes, --cxx fixes it.
It works on iOS 7 without the flag. Am I safe to remove it if I limit the app to iOS 7? Does it have any negative side effects?
I have run the iOS application on iOS Simulator 6.1 but I am not able to reproduce this issue. Could you please provide me some more steps so that I can reproduce this issue?

It's perfectly safe to use (or remove) this flag as long as the app builds afterwards (it only changes how the final native executable is linked).
I've added info about this error/symbol to the documentation for MT5210.
