Screenshot of built filename and error message indicating different expected filename
When creating a empty Xamarin.iOS project in VS, with a name like "projectname.iOS", building results in an executable for debugging with the name "projectnameiOS.exe", but the debugger is expecting "projectname.iOS.exe".
Checked, getting same error on using . in Xam.iOS projects.
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 19962 ***
I don't see how https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=19962 is a duplicate of this bug. https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=19962 pertains to Xamarin.Android, and this bug pertains to Xamarin.iOS.
19962 has to do with threading, BCL's, Android. This has to do with VS-extensions not generating the correct filename requires for the debugging.exe... for Xamarin.iOS.
Typo, bug ID is: https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=19662

Ah, yes. These things happen. I agree, it's clearly a duplicate of 19662. Thank you.
