Description altainia 2011-11-09 12:09:59 UTC
I created a library that I use in another console application. Of many methods, the library in question has a method called "public void InvisibleAll()". Mono sees this method for its autocomplete when working on the console application and even lets in compile, but when I try and run the project in debug mode, my console outputs the following:

Missing method ConsoleExt.ScreenBuffer::InvisibleAll() in assembly [omitted_for_privacy]/Projects/AbilityDexConsole/AbilityDexConsole/bin/Debug/ConsoleExt.dll, referenced in assembly [omitted_for_privacy]/Projects/AbilityDexConsole/AbilityDexConsole/bin/Debug/AbilityDexConsole.exe

but no exceptions are thrown within MonoDevelop itself. When the project is run without debug mode, but still from MonoDevelop, the console outputs the same message but also says:

Unhandled Exception: System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'ConsoleExt.ScreenBuffer.InvisibleAll'.
[ERROR] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'ConsoleExt.ScreenBuffer.InvisibleAll'.

I have tried cleaning the builds and rebuilding it, renaming the method just in case for some weird reason it conflicted with something else, even the age-old rebooting of the computer.

The library itself? Compiles just fine, and its other methods work fine too.

Do you have a sample project for this?

I found the solution, which is actually another problem, but oh well...

Apparently yet another of my libraries that also referenced the first one in question wasn't updating with the changes, even after compiling. I had to delete the reference to that library and re-add it.

-Kind of fixed-
