Description tonyho1999 2011-11-08 04:38:18 UTC
This is very frustrating moving image file from folder to folder or from root to its images folder.

The problem is that:

1) Sometime crash the IDE.
2) Sometime I get a exception detail, very length binary plus text about something not find the file.
3) Sometime timeout after select the file, then it disable any selection about the file when it get back from timeout. This is seem that if file get lose from the tree.

These problems are intermittent. I suspect the node got remove from the file tree, or out of sync. Again, this is intermittent. Please look into the tree node management.

Thanks in advance.

This is more than likely a symptom of a known issue. We have this fixed but ensuring that this is both backwards and forwards compatible with MonoDevelop is tricky so we're not quite sure if the fix will be in the next release of Mono or if it'll be delayed a bit longer.

Alan: is this gtk? I have no idea what your comment even means.

Jeff, these complaints are some the many gtk crashers and selection issues which were in Mono < 2.10.7. I was just trying to explain that 2.10.7 contained a lot of big changes which could break MonoDevelop and so required a lot of testing before we could make that release. This bug can probably be closed as Mono 2.10.7 or higher should all the issues mentioned.

This should be fixed by the GTK+ version that's currently in Mono beta, so I'm marking it fixed. Please re-open if it happens with GTK+ version is 2.24.8 or later. GTK+ version can be found in the MD About dialog.
