Description villermen 2014-04-11 07:56:45 UTC
I do not get a messagebox stating where or what exception has been thrown if it is not an exception I have specified to be thrown myself (it is thrown in a library not managed by the solution). Please see my support question on the subject, and check out the video's for a compact description http://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/comment/50034.

I do not know what circumstances trigger this, but it happens on all projects, even newly created ones. I'm having a hard time figuring out what part of my code is making an exception happen due to this.

I have checked this issue and able to reproduce this. To reproduce this issue I have created a sample project(), implemented the code to throw exception and got the exception below :

System.Exception: Exception of type 'System.Exception' was thrown.

This works on Mac but fails in Windows, so *probably* a CorDebugger issue
Comment 3 Jeffrey Stedfast 2014-04-14 17:42:04 UTC
The simplest repro case is to call File.Open() on a non-existent file (as Gr.Viller illustrated on the forums)

Fix will be available in an upcoming release. Thank you for reporting this.
