This issue has been reproduced, steps are :
1. Download sample application 'XamarinActionBarSherlock-'.
2. Open the application in Xamarin studio.
3. Build it.

An error is occurred.

Reason of Error : This is long path issue. Length of file path is 265 characters which does not allow to build the application. I have copied this application at another location whose path length is of 240 characters then this issue is not occurred.

Windows has a limit on the length of file paths, so unfortunately there's not much we can do.

I would recommend either renaming your folders the shorten the length of the path, or to move the project to a location with a shorter path.
