Description narayanp 2014-03-19 10:47:55 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. Connect VS to build host.

Actual Result: When user trying to connect VS to build host, we are getting 'System.TypeInitializationException' and unable to connect to build host. We observed it on following machines:

Windows 8(64 bit) + Mac Maverick (Xcode 5.0)
Windows 8.1(32 bit) + Mac Lion (Xcode 4.6.3)
Windows 8(64 bit) + Mac Lion (Xcode 4.6.3)
Windows 8.1(32 bit) + Mac Maverick (Xcode 5.0)

While on another machines we are successfully able to connect to build host.

Expected Result: User should able to connect to build host.

+CC Chrisntr - are you and your team seeing reports of this issue using MTVS 1.10.47 + iOS by any chance?

Hi narayanp, I am following up on this bug and attempting to reproduce the issue with the latest stable build of our Xamarin Visual Studio product (3.11.666) and so far I have been unable to reproduce the issue with adding to connect VS to the build host and getting the error ""'System.TypeInitializationException' and unable to connect to build host"".

Please try to upgrade to the latest stable XVS build and if you are still experiencing the same problem please reply and I'd be more than happy to setup a screen sharing session to further debug the issue.

At this time, I am going to update the bug to "NeedInfo" as I need additional information on the installed Xamarin version and the Xamarin logs to reproduce this error.

Now, we are not getting this issue at our end. Hence I am marking this issue as Resolved - Not_Reproducible. Thanks!
