XS 4.2.3

"Preferences -> Text Editor -> General -> Line ending conversions: Leave line endings as is"

does not seem to have an effect.
I have project which I usually open in Visual Studio. If I work on the Mac, XS is bugging me for every file if I want to convert the line endings, even though I slaready set the options to not bother. If I then select to leave all endings as they are in the dropdown that gets displayed at the bottom of the currently edited file, it doesn't affect the behavior either.

Should be fixed in 4.2.4.
Comment 2 Shruti 2014-03-31 03:29:16 UTC
I have verified this by creating an application at Visual Studio 2012 and then open VS application in Mac XS.
1. When I select option 'Always ask for Conversion' from drop down, it always ask for conversion 'This file has line endings (Windows) which differ from the policy settings (UNIX) [Convert to Unix line endings?]. When we click on 'OK' button. Then it convert line endings as UNIX policy settings.
2. When I select option 'Always Convert line endings' or 'Leave line endings as is' from drop down, it does not ask for conversion.

Hence, As per my observation Line ending conversion is behaving as per drop down selection.
