Description narayanp 2014-03-06 10:03:23 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. Make sure Android SDK Tool version is below 22.6 like 22.3 or 19
2. Open VS.
3. Create or open any android application.
4. Open .axml file in layout.

Actual Result: Getting error dialog popup as mentioned in screencast: http://www.screencast.com/t/Sy1emwJZ when Android SDK tool version is below 22.6

Expected Result: User should warn to use latest Android SDK Tool if user is using out-of-date SDK tools.

Note: Using X.S 4.2.3(Build 60) this is working fine.

Environment details:
All Windows
VS 2013/2012/2010
X.Android 4.12.02000

Regression Status: Using stable X.Android, Android Layout opens successfully when using SDK tool version below 22.6 like 22.3.

Comment 7 Lluis Sanchez 2014-03-06 13:12:09 UTC
Fixed in XamarinVS-old/mtvs-1.10-series
Comment 8 narayanp 2014-03-07 01:12:01 UTC
I have checked this issue with following builds when SDK Tool version is 22.3

All Windows
VS 2013/2012/2010
MTVS 1.10.47
X.Android 4.12.2-1

Now I am getting proper message to update to latest version and link to 'Open SDK Manager' This is the screencast for the same: http://www.screencast.com/t/nLNJNUuij5aS
