I am not sure how to check feature "[Version Control] Fixed email overriding for Git." as this
is implemented in Release note of X.S 4.2.4. to check this issue I have checked-out a solution from git and then I am opening file which is having some changes and checking the details like user name and email id. but I am seeing same behavior in both X.S 4.2.3 branch and X.S 4.2.4(build 17). This is the screencast for the same: http://www.screencast.com/t/TXRsSQwxvbqi . Please let me know am I missing any step here? here.
I have followed:
From the developer:
"Instead of the email, the user name was written. So, if you had "name" as name, and "firstname.lastname@example.org" as email, instead of "name email@example.com", you'd have "name <name>" in the commit data.". But this is not more clear to me.
X.S 4.2.4(build 17)
Please provide me some steps so that I can check this feature.
I have checked it again as per comment#1 after entering details in Xamarin Studio->Author Information and observed that with X.S 4.2.4(build 17) I am getting:
Author: lal <firstname.lastname@example.org>
Date: Fri Feb 14 18:05:58 2014 +0530
While with X.S 4.2.2(build 2) I am getting Output:
Note: With X.S 4.2.2 it was showing something like:
Author: lal <lal>
Date: Fri Feb 14 18:15:09 2014 +0530
Hence closing this issue
