Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch MonoDevelop
2.Create Mono for android solution
3.Expand Reference and Open any file (e.g-System)
4.File opens in right pane.
5.Right click over Reference file (e.g-System).
6.Select delete and delete file.
7. Verify that file still displayed in right pane.
Deleted file of Reference still displayed in right pane after deleting file.
Deleted file should not be displayed in right pane.

This is the expected behavior. The assembly browser can show details of any assembly, no matter if it belongs to a project or not.
