Description Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2014-01-29 21:30:55 UTC
The "Generate additional undo steps for formatting" feature doesn't work on paste.
Comment 1 Mike Krüger 2014-01-30 02:10:05 UTC
works for me in master.
(We even have a unit test testing that)

-> I need a use case.
Comment 2 Mike Krüger 2014-02-04 02:53:36 UTC
works for me / no response
Comment 3 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2014-02-05 14:18:45 UTC
It's the indenter.

For any line, change indentation. Paste something onto the line. The indenter will reindent the line and undo will undo the paste, not just the reindent.

TBH I also question why the indenter runs when I paste something into the *middle* of the line that does not span into a new line? Surely the indenter should only need to reindent newly-pasted lines.
Comment 4 Mike Krüger 2014-02-06 01:56:57 UTC
I need to rerun the indenter in that case because the line indentation can change - depending on the code pasted.

I have verified this issue by following the steps below:

1. Change the indentation of the line.
2. Paste something onto line, Indenter will reindent the line.
3. Do undo, it will undo the paste as well as reindent the line.
