From case 58683:
I am on the Alpha Channel since I am taking the University classes.

I have been working on the labs and examples

Its random but I lose the ability to click on items in the right click menu on the Solution.

So I can’t Add a new item to the project, I can’t set a second project as a startup.

The menu appears but I can’t click on items.

I will try the laptop next to see if I see it there.

A reboot of the machine seems to fix it for a while.

Have you seen this before.

Moving the mouse cursor out of the context menu and back in allows a selection to be made from the context menu.

I cannot repro this. Does it happen with specific widgets or in specific areas of the screen, or on a second monitor?
Comment 5 Cody Russell 2014-01-24 15:55:12 UTC
I think this might be the same issue as https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16237
Comment 6 Jon Goldberger [MSFT] 2014-01-24 15:58:06 UTC

Good call. It does seem to only happen for me when the IDE window is on a second monitor. Moving the window from main laptop screen to second monitor reliably causes the issue, moving back to main laptop screen makes issue go away.

Marking this duplicate of #16237 since there is more information there.

This seems to only happen when Xamarin Studio is open on a second monitor and
only for right-clicking on a project in the Solution Explorer. Right-clicking
on a file or folder does _not_ demonstrate this issue.

Posted this on bug 16237 as well.
