I use the mouse and debug toolbar, I have done for years. I know most people use function keys etc... Anyway in Mondevelop it would be so much easier if there was a "Continue" button on the Debug ToolBar. Step, Step-In, Step Out, are all there but no continue. I have to select it from the run menu this is very slow to do and a real pain, particulary as you have to switch windows from the IPad/iPhone Simulator as well.
You can click on the Debug button (next to the stop button) to resume execution.
FWIW I've found this annoying for years, since it's separate from all the other debugger toolbar buttons.
ah... sorry for being dumb! was expecting it to be with the other controls for debugging. Why is it not in the same place doesn't make any sense to me?! Icon is a little meaning less as well. not in keeping with the other icons.
Why keep all the icons together but only display them when in debug mode?
I would just like to add my +1 to Anthony's bug here. I never knew that hitting the "Debug" toolbar button continued execution and would love to see a continue toolbar button with the Step over/into/etc buttons.
FWIW, VS adds a "Continue" toolbar button w/ the same keyboard shortcut next to the other debugger buttons.
I would vote for adding the continue button to the debug toolbar too, if it wasn't clear from my previous comment. I've argued for it for years.
Fixed in git master
