Description matiehannes 2014-01-10 16:01:05 UTC
- Create a button in any layout
- Double click the button
- Highlight the text and press CTRL-X

- Text is cut to the Clipboard

- The button itself is removed, presumably to the clipboard. Results in a null refrence exception when one tries to finish editing.

- Ctrl-Z allows you to restore the object after it has been cut.

I am successfully to reproduce this issue at my end, below are the steps for the same:

1. Create a new Android application
2. Open the Layout.axml file in the designer
3. Double click on the button
4. Select the entire text
5. Now press CTRL+X
6. It deletes the button.

Actual result: In the android designer, when select the label for the button and press CTRL+X, it deletes the button. However, if we select the text and Right Click >> Cut, then it does not deletes the button, rather only cut the text and copy it to the clipboard.

Expected result: In the android designer, when select the label for the button and press CTRL+X, it should not delete the button and it should only cut the text and copy it to clipboard. The way it does when Right Click >> Cut.
