Description Bill Holmes 2014-01-09 10:41:48 UTC
To show the problem clone the components project and checkout the androidsupport branch (this branch will be deleted when I merge to master later. You may have to look there.)

git clone git@github.com:xamarin/components.git
git checkout androidsupport

run make from the XamAndroidSupportV7AppCompat directory
open the XamAndroidSupportV7AppCompat/source/samples/AndroidSupportSample/AndroidSupportSample.sln solution

Under the Jars folder of the Xamarin.Android.Support.v7.AppCompat project change the build action for android-support-v4.jar to None.

Build the solution.

The binding will build a 'valid' dll, however many types will be omitted as shown by all the errors generated in the sample app.

I believe this is because the v4 jar file is not being passed to the jar2xml step.

Tool /usr/bin/java execution started with arguments: -jar /Library/Frameworks/Xamarin.Android.framework/Versions/Current/lib/mandroid/jar2xml.jar --jar=/Users/billholmes/Documents/Git-Xamarin/components/XamAndroidSupportV4/source/binding/Jars/support/v7/appcompat/libs/android-support-v7-appcompat.jar --ref=/Users/billholmes/Library/Developer/Xamarin/android-sdk-mac_x86/platforms/android-16/android.jar --out=/Users/billholmes/Documents/Git-Xamarin/components/XamAndroidSupportV7AppCompat/source/binding/obj/Debug/api.xml --javadocpath=/Users/billholmes/Documents/Git-Xamarin/components/XamAndroidSupportV7AppCompat/source/binding/docs/

I have tried to check this issue but when I am trying to clone git clone git@github.com:xamarin/components.git, It is showing me 'ERROR: Repository not found.' Please let me know is is correct repository or not?
