I'm able to reproduce it on Xamarin.Android. Here is the code:

void SomeMethod ()
    System.Threading.ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem(state => {

And exception: 

System.InvalidProgramException: Missing or incorrect header for method SomeMethod
    at ...

I cannot reproduce it with master. Could you add complete test case
