Description shinriyo 2011-10-26 01:50:47 UTC
It has number key's errors.

When I want to move to 12line above, I type "1 -> 2 -> K" keys.
When I want to move to 15line up, I type "1 -> 5 -> J" keys.
When I want to move to 15line, I type "1 -> 5 -> G" keys.
When I want to cut 3word, I type "3 -> x" keys.

but, they didn't work.

mutch: AFAIK 2.8 has they too ? (I don't know if 100% key parity is in scope of the vi mode)

Comment 5 Mikayla Hutchinson [MSFT] 2011-10-26 13:21:21 UTC
I should add, it's definitely an important feature for vi mode to support but I haven't had much time to work on the vi mode recently.
Comment 6 shinriyo 2011-10-27 00:12:41 UTC
Is it difficult to fix?
If you tell me the file to fix. I' d like to fix.

It also have bugs.

When I use visual mode and input [x], the selection is still alive bug.

ViMode is implemented in https://github.com/mono/monodevelop/blob/master/main/src/core/Mono.Texteditor/Mono.TextEditor.Vi/ViMode.cs

There's an old" one, which is the current one, and a "new" one which isn't complete but was designed to be more flexible.
Comment 8 shinriyo 2011-11-08 21:55:57 UTC
ViMode.cs is not found.
So, we can't replace it.

I also found other bug.

When I push x-key on visual mode, selection didn't deselect.
