Description BillF 2011-10-24 20:02:34 UTC
Summary: Cannot access TestFlight methods

Overview: With the out-of-the-box TestFlight integration in MT5 there does not appear to be a way to call TestFlight methods such as TakeOff, or if there is it does not seem to be documented.

Steps to Reproduce:
Expected Results:

Build Date & Platform: MonoTouch 5.0, MonoDevelop 2.8.1 , iOS5

Additional Information: Am able to physically distribute my app using out-of-the-box TestFlight integration. Before discovering the out-of-the-box integration, I tried two different TestFlight bindings, as described here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7865374/problems-getting-testflight-to-work-with-monotouch-app

Hi Bill,

Our TestFlight integration with MonoDevelop 2.8 (and MonoTouch 5.0) allows you to use the TestFlight Upload API (https://testflightapp.com/api/doc/) to upload applications to TestFlight to allow over the air integration. This is simply a CURL call from MonoDevelop sending up your application.

The TestFlight SDK (https://testflightapp.com/sdk/) provides are way of seeing statistics through TestFlight of users using your application and these are the two bindings you are trying to use. I haven't tried those bindings but I created a binding with a sample that I have tried and works mostly out of the box (you'll have to download the TestFlight SDK to get the .a file and enter in your team code).
You can find the bindings and sample on GitHub here: https://github.com/chrisntr/monotouch-bindings/tree/master/TestFlight

Please let me know if you have any other questions,

Chris Hardy

Hi Chris,
I'm having problems getting the Facebook SDK and TestFlight SDK working together in the same project. I've tried to add Facebook to your sample project and am seeing the same problem where it crashes. Please see this link for more details and the sample project: http://monotouch.2284126.n4.nabble.com/Crash-trying-to-use-both-Facebook-Connect-bindings-and-TestFlight-SDK-bindings-td4037481.html
