I would like not to be forced to pay attention to CodeSigning when switching a MonoMac project
from debug to release mode.
The CodeSigning option in Xamarin.Studio is disabled and forced to true.
I can manually change the setting in the project file, but it can be made smoother.
Today, we have checked this with :
XS 4.2.2(build 2)
We are also getting this issue, after changing the configuration from debug to release, it selects CodeSigning option in Xamarin.Studio automatically. However we can also change it manually
screencast: CodeSigning option in Xamarin.Studio
screencast for above issue: http://screencast.com/t/ABwzNPQ0P2A
We enable code-signing in the Release configuration for all new projects.
You can simply select the "Release" dropdown menu item as shown in the screencast above, and then you can just uncheck the checkbox.
I've updated the UI code to uncheck the checkbox if it gets greyed out.
Too late for 4.2.3, but should be in the next version.
We have checked as per comment 3 and it is working fine.
XS 4.2.4 (Build 32)
