Description James Montemagno [MSFT] 2013-11-24 11:15:36 UTC
When I create a new theme in my Styles.xml and try to view it in the designer it shows no styling at all. The Theme.AppCompat do not show up :( I am using the https://components.xamarin.com/view/xamandroidsupportv7appcompat library.

This is my theme:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
        Base application theme, dependent on API level. This theme is replaced
        by AppBaseTheme from res/values-vXX/styles.xml on newer devices.
  <style name="BaseTheme" parent="@style/Theme.AppCompat.Light">
            Theme customizations available in newer API levels can go in
            res/values-vXX/styles.xml, while customizations related to
            backward-compatibility can go here.

  <!-- Application theme. -->
  <style name="Theme" parent="BaseTheme">

This problem still seems there.

Could anyone let me know if there is any update?

This is gone for sure. You just need to make sure you name your Theme with "Theme." in the start.
