Project that will fail.

Steps :
1) Create an empty ASP(C#) application
2) Add "System.Net" in references
3) Create a class
4) Add "using System.Net.Mail;"
5) Add this member to the class :
 public static void Main(string[] args){
   MailAddress ma=new MailAddress("crash@ide.com","IDE crasher");
6) Hit build

MonoDevelop will crash !

The log says :
ERREUR[2011-10-21 10:17:43Z]: System.ArgumentNullException: La valeur ne peut pas être null.
Nom du paramètre : value
   à System.Enum.EnumResult.SetFailure(ParseFailureKind failure, String failureParameter)
   à System.Enum.TryParseEnum(Type enumType, String value, Boolean ignoreCase, EnumResult& parseResult)
   à System.Enum.Parse(Type enumType, String value, Boolean ignoreCase)
   à MonoDevelop.Core.LoggingService..cctor()

This code is actually wrapped in a try/catch so it cannot crash monodevelop. Did you just see this getting printed in the terminal or did monodevelop itself actually crash? If MonoDevelop did actually crash, then this is something which has been fixed since 2.8 and so I'd recommend you use 2.8.2 as we definitely have the try/catch there.

I meant to add: If monodevelop is actually crashing, then it's more than likely something else so we'd need to get a copy of your MonoDevelop.log file
