Seems like every time an update appears in the Visual Studio 2012 Xamarin addin, and you click on it and it may take a long time before it starts to respond again.
I think problem is that file download is not being run in separate thread thus it occupies the GUI-experience.
This is more of type issue than bug.
Andreas, can you please list the Xamarin.Android and Xamarin.iOS extension versions you use? Thanks!
Xamarin.Android = 4.10.01068
Xamarin.iOS = 1.8.361.0
The latest versions are :
Xamarin.Android = 4.10.01073
Xamarin.iOS = 1.8.365.0
Another question, can you clarify if it is VS2012 that is locking or the Updater itself? Are you able to provide a screencast?
I will record the screen while in progress when next update arrives and add as an attachment.
We are unable to reproduce this issue at our end. Could you please confirm are you still getting this issue with latest Xamarin builds?
As there is no response from Andreas, and its working fine at our end. So closing this issue as Verified Fixed.
