Description Nat Friedman 2013-10-02 04:15:07 UTC
This build error should refer to the product as "Xamarin.Android" instead of "Mono for Android."

"/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/External/xbuild/Xamarin/Android/Xamarin.Android.Common.targets: Error: Could not find android.jar for API Level 17. This means the Android SDK platform for API Level 17 is not installed. Either install it in the Android SDK Manager, or change your Mono for Android project to target an API version that is installed. (/Users/nat/Library/Developer/Xamarin/android-sdk-mac_x86/platforms/android-17/android.jar missing.) (XamarinStore.Droid)"

(It might also be nice if the error message told me the Android SDK Manager is available in the Tools menu)

Fixed in monodroid/038ed684.
