Why isnt there a Listview Control, this is a control I use on almost all my projects. If the lib is there it should be default if not where it is? and if its not installed, will this be in future releases?

Which listview control ?

Gtk uses treeviews - the treestore decides if it's a list or a real tree. 

btw. just out of curiosity - are you speaking of windows forms or gtk ? If you've windows.forms backround gtk is a bit away from that - but from my PoV it's much better, but you've te relearn some things - esp. gtk# is a very thin wrapper around the C lib.
